Here's a quick update with all things moving..(as my almost 2 year old stands on the chair handing me my delicate wine glasses way too fast as I try to pack them up).... The Radon Doctor is here today repairing our home's radon pipe system so that the house can have the proper venilation. (Which it hasn't ever had!!!) Through my crazy letter writing skills/and inability to let things go... I am proud to say that Ryan Homes WILL PAY for their poor work they did on this home seven years ago while installing the radon pipe system.... GO ME!!!
Per the buyers request, we also had a small list of outside home repairs fixed over the weekend. All the guy was supposed to do was nail a couple places on the house for $100, when he was finished 45 minutes later he had nailed, screwed, repaired, caulked all sorts of stuff for $150. Cheeeezz... Slow down guy!! We're moving here! Just fix what the buyer asked us to fix!! :)
Drew and Jenna are sick so that's put a slow down on the serious packing that I could be getting done right now, but we've done some as you can see by our once toy room, then staged office, and now moving box storage room. Also above you'll see what's left of our very rickety old (but very, very loved) swing set. The girls were, and still are extremely tearful as Dave took a chain saw to it. He has slowly been throwing away the pieces ever since. Note to self...don't dismantle beloved swing set in front of girls....:)
Our new home has some minor repairs and also the same radon issue to take care of. Those things are being taken care of. We've ordered new carpet and kitchen flooring for the new house and have taken care of utilities, schools, and most everything I can think of at 2:15am every night!
We're having a get together with our neighbors this weekend. I think the hardest part for Amelia & Ava will be saying goodbye to their best friends/worst enemies that live next door and behind us.
That about covers it for now! BTW... It's supposed to be warm here the next few days!! YAHOOO!!! Oh, and Happy St. Patrick's Day! The kids are in their green and I have dug out all the Irish green shamrock jewelry from my Grandma that I could find. She would be proud!
