Bennie & The Jetts - Kitten Update

It’s been awhile. Charlie died on Friday, July 8th. That very night I was to meet a couple from Baltimore who wanted to adopt Daniel and Nikita. When you get a couple who recently lost their cats, who have no current pets, and take two kittens that makes it easy to let them go. I met them Saturday morning (that next day). I don’t know how I did it, but I did. They were beyond excited, and are great with our kitties. So that makes me happy. They had still been working on new names for them when we last spoke. Nikita was to be Clementine.

Here they are in their new home.

Ronnie was the next to go that Monday. The woman who adopted him actually lives very close to us. She came over here to the house to meet Daniel. She loved black cats. When she met Ronnie she had him all on the floor, and thought he was the best thing. So she adopted Ronnie Rissoto. She’s calling him Rizzy.

He’s also living the life about a mile away from us!

I have not told the rescue Charlie is gone. I feel very silly to share that he was an indoor /outdoor cat. Our rescue warns people how dangerous that is. I feel very guilty about this.  There’s a lot I feel guilty about with all of this.  I’m even having a hard time seeing the neighbor out in his yard and life going on, but it does, and it has.

So at home here now, that leaves Bennie, Candy and Levon still with us. They are at the 4 month old mark now, and getting bigger. They roam our home for the most part now that Charlie’s gone.

Levon has been chosen by a family who volunteers with our rescue. We hope to finalize his adoption this week.  We are still looking for homes for the last two. Here are some cute pictures.
