Day 11 - East!

To combat car boredom Jenna decided to count how many licks it takes to eat a lollipop. Here’s her tally. Don’t know the final count....




Props to Dave who drove us for 11 days and about 4200 miles. From home all the way to Ouray, Colorado! Our 4th cross country trip in the books!

Day 10- East!

Leaving very wide open Salina, KS this morning.

The Mississippi River in East St. Louis around 3:30pm today. That’s the Arch on the right of the screen.

The only rain we hit the entire trip- about 10 minutes this evening leaving Effingham, IL.

We have one more full day of driving tomorrow - then we are home!!

Day 9 - East!

Day 7 - West!

Here’s a look at our VERY tight Montrose hotel room. This year’s trip we haven’t had the best luck with hotels.  I’ve got to give it to my family though- we make do without any complaining.  Happy to move on from this room.

We’re on our way to Glenwood Springs here.  We stopped in Hotchkiss, CO and picked up some lunch. Ground beef tacos for this girl.

A fresh picked peach milkshake for this girl. This region is known for its sweet corn and peaches. We picked up some peaches too!

This girl is happy to be eating our “car food”.
