FAMILY ADVENTURE!!!! - TENNESSEE
Our first stop at The Natural Bridge in Natural Bridge, Virginia. We walked under the bridge, saw the butterfly exhibit and even hung out for a stretch in the employee lounge!

Here's The Natural Bridge, Drew in the forefront and the rest of the family far off in the distance - really beautiful.
Jenna liked jumping off this rock wall which you really can't see - heights aren't an issue with Jenna.
This is a nasty Emu at our next stop. We drove through the Virginia Safari to feed the animals up close. The animals are quite pushy. The fun time we had planned for the kids turned out to be not so good. We had a very upset Jenna with the up close animals at her window, a very upset Dave who couldn't drive the car without fear of taking an animal with us, and a very upset Ava who didn't like how upset Jenna was. What a mess (our car and the experience...)
Jenna, Mary, Quincy and pink rabbit. Her traveling companions.
Here are the kids in Gatlinburg outside the aquarium.
Here's sick Drew - unhappy to be out of the pool, but a good brother supervising his sissies.
Dave and Amelia braved the haunted house in Gatlinburg. After it was all said and done, Amelia said it wasn't scary and "really it was annoying that the little guy kept coming up behind her with a different mask and saying her name." Ava (all talk that she is) stayed back with the rest of us. :)
Happy swimming toothless Amelia posing for me.
Ava believing she was still in Maryland, was really at the Tennessee, North Carolina border.
A little rock climbing for my adventurers.
Drew and Jenna looking equally unhappy at the Christmas tree at The Wilderness Lodge.
The girls got their fill of waterslides....or did they? This is them at their happiest point on the trip coming off the "tube twisters".
And another favorite, the Wave Pool.
We took a short trip over the Thanksgiving break to The Smoky Mountains. Drew was sick with a head cold, as he was ten years ago at our last visit. Jenna adapted very well to her car seat, her big girl bed and our excursions, and of course Amelia and Ava are world class travelers - very upset to be back at home today.
