Christmas Day

Here are the girls at 6:30am ready to open presents on Christmas morning.  We made them wait until 7am ish once the sun came up!

Jenna asked Santa for anything Shopkins.  Her sisters made her Shopkins (Season 6.5) - made a case, the shopkins and even this cute checklist.

After we opened our presents under the tree, we called Ava's present which was in her stocking.  Something was ringing.  It took a few times, but Ava finally found her new phone (A trackphone - not an I Phone 6, but still a PHONE!)

Drew does it right!  He finally woke up happy and rested after 9am.

Jenna helped Drew open his gifts.. lots of chocolate, music, clothes, comfy socks and a piano from his bus team.

Here's our group.

Jenna spent most of her day here in her fancy dress applying LOTS of make up.

Amelia spent most of her day here assembling her LEGO sets.
Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner!  The day was a great one.. UNTIL....

The day ended this way.  After Grandma and Grandpa left Jenna started to feel bad complaining of a headache and trouble breathing.  She definitely was struggling breathing with a very low pulse ox and accelerated heart rate.  I called her doctor on call and while on the phone with him her eye became swollen.  The only thing we can think of was a reaction with a kiwi knife used to cut her cake, or all that makeup.....  We almost made a trip to the hospital.  A little Benadryl calmed down the situation, but the breathing was super worrisome.  Off to an allergist soon.

Today was Drew's Holiday program at school.  Another year, another visit with Santa.  Drew got a Nats T-shirt as his gift from Santa.

Here's Drew in the photo booth.

I joined Jenna on her class field trip yesterday to the FCPS ESSL lab.  She was picked to represent the planet Uranus.

Here we are with a selfie on the school bus.

Fireman Santa

Santa came through the neighborhood tonight at about 6:30pm, but NOT down our street even though the girls were out in the freezing cold at the end of our driveway waiting for him.  So... I set out in the car with crying Jenna to find him.  We didn't.  I did hear all the reasons why "Santa must be in California by now, There must be many Santa's, How mad she was that Santa didn't come to her street, and how Santa was a big ol'fat red blob"  all because he didn't come down our street.  Well... at 8:30pm there they were..... the sirens, fire trucks and Santa himself.  I tried very hard to get the picture of excited Jenna and the fire truck as it went by.  Phew.  All is right with the world again.
