Fireman Santa

Santa came through the neighborhood tonight at about 6:30pm, but NOT down our street even though the girls were out in the freezing cold at the end of our driveway waiting for him.  So... I set out in the car with crying Jenna to find him.  We didn't.  I did hear all the reasons why "Santa must be in California by now, There must be many Santa's, How mad she was that Santa didn't come to her street, and how Santa was a big ol'fat red blob"  all because he didn't come down our street.  Well... at 8:30pm there they were..... the sirens, fire trucks and Santa himself.  I tried very hard to get the picture of excited Jenna and the fire truck as it went by.  Phew.  All is right with the world again.

Busy Saturday

Ava ran her 3rd 5K this morning with Girls on the Run.  She finished in 27 minutes 15 seconds and was the 9th girl to finish for Girls on the Run.

Ava runs hard.  She lost her running buddy  and finished strong.

Jenna and Drew went to Rooftop Respite Day which made for an unusual outing of just us.  We had lunch at Benigans and shopped.

We then went to the Delaplaine Arts Center in downtown Frederick and took a walk around.  Amelia and Ava were signed up for an art class - weaving with nature.  Here's happy Amelia in her class.

Dave and I took a quick walk on Carroll Creek.

Fun Art

Jenna made this yesterday in school during her indoor recess time.  In case you can't see... It's a purse, coins, cell phone with apps, wallet with gift cards and a pack of gum.

Ava brought this home from school.  For fun the teacher had the kids draw a Thanksgiving picture and the kids would vote on the best.  This is Ava's drawing.   Several kids came up to her while the kids were voting on the drawings to ask Ava if she needed to talk about anything due to the content of the picture (the gun).  Thought it was funny.
