The Lucky 15

Meet our foster kittens- all 5. Oh boy. They were abandoned at a farm left as 15 kittens total in a crate in Rocky Ridge, MD. They are only 4-5 weeks old. We picked them up yesterday. 2 girls and 3 boys

Here we are deciding on names today. A very difficult process when 4 girls are involved.

Ortho

The orthodontist has been closed since mid March. They reopened this week. Amelia’s appt was this morning. I called from the car once we arrived at the office. We were screened on cold symptoms. Amelia was the only one allowed in for her appt. They took her temperature and she said the dentist and technicians had on extra PPE. She got in, and got out. Braces tightened after a few month lapse. 

Adopt a Senior

We adopted Lindsey ( the cat mom to our foster max). She’s graduating from Linganore HS. Jenna and I dropped her gift basket off this afternoon.

When we arrived home we got a call from Tris. She wanted to stop by. Her daughter adopted Drew. They left such great gifts for Drew!

Jenna took a break from the pool to show Drew his gifts which were delivered by Tris and Aubrey. They decorated a bit, but the items in the baskets were so great and all Drew! - cookies, chips, chocolate, socks, a pizza blanket, fun toys.

We had dinner on the deck tonight. Charlie was there too. He was the only one interested in the activity next door while we ate.

Dave worked today Jenna went swimming and Rose begged for food.  

Oh... and Jenna made activity books for our neighbor kids across the street

Today

This was the first year Amelia applied for a summer job. She applied last February online at Frederick County Parks and Recreation to be a summer camp counselor. Due to Covid Amelia’s first group interview was canceled. She completed questionnaires instead. Her second interview was a zoom call with the camp directors. She then was screened for crimes. Amelia heard today that Frederick County Parks and Rec programs have been completely canceled for the entire summer. No camp. No job. 

Drew received this cool hat today from a former vision teacher. Ms. Sally worked with Drew about 10 years ago. 

Happy 52nd Birthday, Dad!

Diploma and Adoption Day

It’s Amelias 16th Adoption Day today!

Leaving home to go to Rock Creek School to pick up Drew’s Diploma and get his picture taken for the virtual graduation ceremony.

Our friend Becky took Drew up in stage. She came today to the photo shoot. She has known Drew since he started. Becky was to be Drew’s escort for the graduation ceremony.
