We took a trip to Keymar this morning to Catoctin Mountain Growers. This was just the beginning of the massive amounts of flowers they are growing.

National Walk for Epilepsy

 


 






 


We got up early this morning and headed to DC for the National Walk for Epilepsy. We arrived right at start time and caught up with team LGS. We walked as far as the Jefferson Memorial  and turned back to the walkers village. We arrived back at home around noon. Ava stayed home and caught up on her sleep. 

Jenna is having her first sleepover tonight with Chandler. 

Tonight was a beautiful evening out on our back deck! Spring seems to have finally arrived.

Destination Imagination State Tournament

The kids came in 5th out of 18th so no Global competition for us! 
Today when we arrived at the tournament at UMBC.

Florida Trip - Day 9

We’re home!  The Easter bunny left some stuff for us. 

Florida trip - Day 7

Today was our last full day here. The days went very fast. We’ve heard there’s a chance for snow on Saturday... maybe the DI tournament will be canceled and we can stay here til Saturday! That would be nice... I took a walk alone this morning to watch the sunrise. Came back to gather everyone for our morning walk. This time it was all about the Osprey. There were at least 15 Osprey circling above in the clouds pictures shown above. I’ve never seen or heard that before. Today is all about Andrew. My handsome boy who really loves our times 100 % devoted to him and on the beach when the temperatures are just right. We displayed our shell finds from the week on the patio table. We did great! Jenna found another silver dollar sandollar. That’s 3 if you’re counting.  She is! We took our nightly stroll where the Atlantic was like a lake and the bait fish were jumping out of the water. We watched all types of birds and even saw some larger fish fishing for these bait fish.   We took some pretty lighthouse and driftwood photos at the top of the Island. Tomorrow we make the drive home to Maryland  and the April snow! Ugh...

Florida Trip- Day 6

I like this daily posting thing.  I can post WAY more photos! As you can see... Amelia is my star subject today! Amelia and I went out in the beach early for a quick walk. We then came back for everyone else. The kids rode bikes and we wheeled Drew up to the store for coffee. We took a drive to Captiva after lunch. We stopped at the Bubble Room for a piece of cake and key lime pie, then off to Jensen’s marina. There were a ton of manatees just right there! Then our evening beach walk. Dave and the girls came face to face with an osprey. We swam tonight too! Only one more day left. Noooooooooooo!
