Ava Adoption Day - Year 10

Ten years ago today Ava arrived home. A huge reason for our family to celebrate.

This was my very first sight of Ava a few days earlier in the busy hotel lobby in Guatemala City. I had waited almost a year to meet her in person. I wouldn't have known it at this moment, but this sweet innocent face would add some spice and some sass to our quiet home! Love you Ava. Our family wouldn't be the same without you.

Jenna - Medal

Jenna likes her art work and clay.  Last school year she made several things for her teacher.  This past week she worked on this medal and stand for her teacher.  (I didn't get the best picture of the medal). 

Fair

Drew and I took a field trip to the Frederick County Fair yesterday. 

Tennis

Jenna is taking tennis lessons.  This morning was her second lesson.

Days of September

 Ava had a few friends over yesterday to celebrate her birthday early.

We made an early birthday cake and Amelia decorated it with a cat!

Heart Secret - 8 Year Anniversary

I've enjoyed reading other people's blogs and wish I had started one of my own for several years now. I wish I had documented these past few years and had a written record of how my family has grown. So, today, finally I am starting my own blog! My name is Rachel. My husband is Dave and our kids are Andrew, Amelia and Ava. Our family picture from May 2008 is to the left.

To start things off....my husband and I recently found out I am pregnant. With this blog I hope to document our family's ups and downs. I also hope to document this pregnancy. To give birth to a healthy baby would be a dream come true.
