Rooftop Respite Day
Dave and I look forward to the four times a year that the kids go to Rooftop Respite. They have a blast playing, while Dave and I get four free hours. We ran errands, walked through downtown Frederick and had lunch at La Paz.

Jenna's 4th Birthday!
Here's the Birthday Girl!!
And Again!
Here's Jenna this morning with Mary's new highchair!
We saw this Panda at the zoo today.
We all took a ride on the "horses go round".
Andrew's turn on the carousel. He rode in the coral.
Ava rides the zebra.
Jenna on the frog.
Jenna rides the "clapping clam shell".
We went out for dinner tonight at J&P Pizza. Jenna was surprised with chocolate cake!
Today our baby turned four. We've been talking this one up for weeks. We've already had the party, the cake, the decorations, the balloons, but today is the day we went all out and made the entire day a celebration. Dave took the day off of work. Jenna woke this morning to find her presents (a new highchair and bed for Mary), play dough, play dough breakfast maker, a green princess skirt, a photo book from our last Disney trip, and a Bubble Guppies coloring book. We left the house pretty early to make our way into DC. We viewed the cherry blossoms (which aren't ready yet), we viewed the monuments, planes, boats and the city as we drove to the Zoo. We walked around there with the ultimate goal to make it to the new carousel. Jenna rode the frog and the clapping clam shell. Her favorite part of the zoo was seeing the elephants and riding the clapping clam shell. We got home this afternoon to take a small break. Our worn out family then took the party to J&P Pizza, where everyone ate something other than pizza, but me. Jenna was surprised with a piece of cake and kids at another table crying in the background complaining that it wasn't their birthday. Jenna ate pretty much that whole piece of cake in only a few forkfuls.
Here's an update on all things Jenna at age 4. Jenna attends Kiddie Hawks Preschool Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays mornings. She has a ballet dance class on Wednesday mornings. She goes to bed at 7:30pm every night and hasn't intentionally gotten out of bed since being introduced to her big girl bed! Her favorite food by far is "yaagurt". She also likes to eat hamburger, carrots and ranch dressing, pizza, McDonald's nuggets, chocolate milk and all sweets. She basically does not sit still during a meal. We have to follow her around for her to eat her food. She basically doesn't sit still at all. She prefers to play outside, or in the basement throwing the ball with Dad. She loves to play with our neighbor friends, She loves all video games, Wii, Kindle Fire, DS, my phone, anything electronic. She was even able to access the internet without me knowing to watch Youtube videos. (I was wondering why my Internet connection had reached the max for this month so early!!). Jenna loves to watch Team Umizomi, Super Why, Phineas & Ferb, Bubble Guppies, and Dora. Jenna loves to paint, color, write her letters, ask about the sounds of words. She recently started playing with play dough. Most of all Jenna loves her dolls, Mary, Pink Rabbit and Quincy. She has beds for them, makes them breakfast, dresses them, and sings and cuddles them. Some of our favorite Jenna words right now, are her calling me "Shelby". She will tell me "It's my turn to shine", "of course", "Daddy, wanna go in the basement?", she calls Andrew -Poppy, Ava - Easy, and Amelia - Millie. Jenna is a buddy to all of us. She is still the same easy going, VERY, VERY active, inquisitive girl she's been since her personality first appeared.
JENNA!- We hope you loved your party and your special day with us. You are a dream come true for your dad and I. WE LOVE YOU!

Spring Break (Day #5)
This is a favorite past time of Amelia - Perwinkle Game.... aka ....taking all her stuffed animals and making a fort out of them.
We tried so very hard to play an April Fools joke on Dave. Thanks to The Today Show we set up this prank (a spider stuck to the toilet paper roll). The joke immediately ended when Dave got home and Jenna ran out to the car to tell him that there, "is a spider on the toilet paper roll!"
