Something I liked...

I stole this ..... just liked it.

Longing for a child to love,
I'd wish upon the stars above.
In my heart I always knew,
... a part of me was meant for you.

I think how happy we will be,
once I adopt you and you adopt me.

I dream of all the joy you'll bring,
imagining even the littlest things.
The way it will feel to hold you tight,
and tuck you in every night.

The drawings on the refrigerator door,
childhood toys across the floor.
The favorite stories read again and again,
hours of games with make-believe friends.

The day you took my outstretched hand,
a journey ended, but our lives began.
Still mesmerized by your sweet face,
still warmed inside by our first embrace.

I promised to give you a happy home,
a loving family all your own.
A house you've now made complete,
with laughter, smiles and tiny feet.

A parent is one who guides the way,
know I will be there everyday.
Rest easy as each night you sleep,
a lifetime of love is yours to keep. ~Teri Harrison

Snowy

We had an inch or so of snow and ice fall last night. Dave had to work late and tried to sleep in this morning, but couldn't because Jenna was outside the door playing the tamborine and singing "snowy" into her microphone. Jenna enjoyed the snow outside first hand for a few minutes this afternoon. Drew and I worked on the extensive Girl Scout Troop "Cookie Mom" project that I took on unaware of the commitment I was undertaking...(Wish me luck with that). Amelia and Ava were outside all afternoon with their friend tackling the sledding hill.

Contrails

Jenna and I spent some time outside today after lunch enjoying the warm weather. We thought the sky was especially beautiful today. I've noticed now just over these past few weeks at our home to the East at the horizon line (BWI Airport) a sunburst pattern of airplane contrails coming out of the horizon. Can you see them?

33 months

Here's Jenna today at 33 months. Unfortunately for me...closer to 3... In my eyes Jenna is still my baby. I will admit it. Jenna is my baby who has me wrapped around her finger, getting her way most all of the time.

When Jenna was born I put her on the wait list for the same pre-school program Amelia & Ava attended. The email came that her time is almost near (next September). Wow!

At 33 months Jenna's love for The Wiggles isn't as strong as it once was. Her new favorites are Mickey and Minnie. She has her babies, her dress up clothes, her kitchen and loves to color and look at her lift the flap books.

Kids and Dave are back to school and work tomorrow. They've been off for ten days. We've spent a lot of time here at home and even worked on some home projects.
